Rotarians in El Salvador

Local Rotarians Lena Gonzalez Berrios and Donna Almborg took their passion for libraries and literacy all the way to El Salvador, thanks to a Rotary District 7610 grant for North Stafford Rotary and Rotary Club of Stafford. They worked through non-profit e3Kids International (e3kids.com) to establish a library and early learning center for Fundación Exodo, an orphanage that provides family-style care for children and youth birth – young adult.

Rotary applies its motto of “service above self” through local, regional and international educational efforts. This project gave local students, community volunteers and Rotarians the opportunity to join forces to make sure that kids at Fundación Exodo have access to books and learning resources for many years to come.
