Friends of the Library

The North Stafford Rotary Club in Virginia actively supports the "Friends of the Library" initiative as part of its community service projects. This program focuses on enhancing access to educational resources by repurposing materials and facilitating book donations.

In a notable effort, the club collaborated with the Central Rappahannock Regional Library (CRRL) to repurpose discarded steel shelving. These shelves, along with hundreds of community-donated books, were packed into a shipping container by volunteers and sent to support library development in underserved areas. This initiative exemplifies the club's commitment to literacy and global outreach.

The "Friends of the Library" project is one among several service initiatives undertaken by the North Stafford Rotary Club, aligning with their mission of "Service Above Self." Other projects include Operation Warm, Back 2 School Supply, and Bags of Hope.
